Colombia
Supremo
Colombia is located in the
northwestern part of South America and borders on both the Pacific and Atlantic
oceans. Supremo is the highest grade of coffee beans in the Colombia
classification system, which is based on the size of the coffee bean. The
strong, rich aroma and medium acidity with a balanced, full body, nutty flavor
and smooth finish is what makes Juan Valdez so famous for Colombian coffee. This
coffee bean will not overwhelm other coffee in blending and it adds strength to
less acidic coffee such as the Indonesians. A medium roast will bring out the
robust flavors. Dark roasts are commonly used for blending in espresso.

Columbia Bucaramanga
Bucaramanga comes
from the Santander Department in central Columbia. Santander is the oldest
coffee-growing region, which is lush with ideal
rainfall, cloud cover and soil conditions. This coffee is partly
shade-grown from trees of the Caturra variety at an elevation of approximately
6,000 feet. Bucaramanga is a soft-bean coffee with some of the character of fine
Sumatran coffees: heavy body, low acidity, and rich flavor tones. It has a round
and clean profile and boasts a hint of caramel. Whether you try this coffee for
the fantastic flavor or for the name that’s fun to say, Bucaramanga is a coffee
you’re sure to enjoy!
